Witnessing the ‘Great Eclipse’ of August 21, 2017 from her home of Brooklyn, NY, Morawetz created a series of drawings depicting the arc created by the moon eclipsing the sun (as viewed through a pinhole camera.
A drawing was made every minute from 2:20pm - 2:50pm capturing the peak rise and peak of the eclipse from her location. The drawings have been collated into three parts, documenting ten minute intervals: PART 1 – 2:20-2:29pm, PART II - 2:30pm-2:39pm and PART III - 2:40- 2:49pm
